This 98-minute film is a stark and stylish horror/thriller that turns everyone’s favorite time of the year inside out. Olivia Hussey and Margot Kidder star among an ill-fated houseful of sorority sisters celebrating the holiday season. Teacher Johnny Smith gets in a horrible accident which forces him into a coma for five years. Once Johnny wakes up, he discovers he has the ability to read a person’s life just by making physical contact with them. When the local police find out about Johnny’s “powers”, they bring him in on a murder case. Soon Johnny’s abilities gets him into more trouble then he may be able to handle.

Sherlock Holmes is drawn into the case of Jack the Ripper who is killing prostitutes in London’s East End. Bob Carter, a suburban real estate agent, tries to get a kindly couple, Allen and Mary Ann Doyle, to buy a house only to give them horrifying stories about the pasts of three of them. In the first story “Nightmare” a businessman discovers his wife cheating on him only to be killed by his spouse and her boyfriend in which she begins having dreams of her husband not staying dead. The second story “Bobo” involves increasing fear and paranoia from a kindly family man whose young daughter finds and adopts a stray monkey who turns out to be more than meets the eye. The third story “Come To Granny” involves a trouble teenager with psychic abilities who visits a therapist to warn her that she happends to be the next victim of a vicious serial killer called The Granny.

Gloria Goodfellow has a normal life in the countryside along with her family. She’s the mother of two children, one precocious teenager girl and a timid boy, who’s been bullied by a bunch of kids from his school. Occassionally, their peace is disrupted by a neighbor’s annoying dog or a meddler neighbor. Gloria’s husband, Reverend Walter Goodfellow, is a clumsy but well respected priest, who’s preparing to give a speech in a religious convention at Cornwall. One morning a charming, efficient and quite kind lady, Grace Hawkins, arrives to work as a housekeeper at the Goodfellows’ house. The family’s life will change forever, because Grace will care for its integrity in her own special way. First, Grace will help Walter to relax and find his funny side during masses. Then, Grace finds out that Gloria is having an affair with her golf instructor, a sort of pervert American man, interested in Gloria’s daughter as well. Last but not least, Grace will manage herself to get rid of the bullies who are giving a hard time to Petey. Despite this ideal reality, Gloria will discover a secret that Grace has been hiding… for more than 40 years.

An eighteen-year-old high school girl is left at home by her parents and she decides to have a slumber party. There is friction between some of the invited guests and the new girl, who is better at basketball than they, so the new girl decides to stay at home (which is conveniently across the street from the host’s house). Meanwhile, a murderer of five people with a propensity for power tools has escaped and is at large, and eventually makes his way to the party, where the guests begin experiencing an attrition problem, with only the new girl to help them.

Piggy Banks tells the story of two charming and brilliant brothers who finance their lifestyle by robbing and murdering pretty much anyone foolish enough to get in the car with them. They learn the business from their sociopath father (Tom Sizemore) who doesn’t bother to hide his crimes, or the brutal philosophy which drives it. He tells his sons people are just piggy banks. You need money? Just break one open. Michael is sloppy and reckless he goes about his work with a demented glee, John perhaps even more horrifyingly, understands the misery he inflicts he simply doesn’t care. It’s just a job.
