The story begins of a sarcastic humanoid duck the size of a man by the name of Howard from outer space is pulled from his home world to Earth through a laser beam and somehow winds up in Cleavland where he meets and quickly befriends with Beverly Switzler, a lead singer where they must stop an alien invader known as the Dark Overlords at all costs.

Lt. Cmdr Tom Dodge (Kelsey Grammer) is one of the Navy’s best, even if he is a bit unconventional. But to take command of his own ship, he must first prove himself in simulated combat. Dodge is shocked when he’s put in command of the rusty and outdated USS Stingray. His crew consists of the Navy’s worst misfits and troublemakers. And to add salt to an open wound, Dodge’s old rival, Adml. Graham (Bruce Dern), will be supervising the opposing team, the crew of the more-up-to-code USS Orlando. Dodge must now prove that he and his crew are up to the challenge…

Gig convinces Russ to rig the state lottery with the help of Crystal, a gold-digging ditz with a heart of tin. They have to find a beard to buy the ticket, and then they have to cash it. Soon, murder and various double-crosses add to Russ’s nightmare. A lazy cop zeroes in. Jail is closer than riches. Will Russ have to choose between his money and his life?

His soon-to-be father in law has the dopey lawyer Louden to give the pretty and no less self conscious Nikki Finn a ride from the prison to the bus station to ensure that she leaves town immediately. However Nikki has different plans: after being in prison many years for a murder she didn’t commit, she wants to find out who really killed her friend Johnny. Unscrupulously she uses Louden for her objectives.

What they find is a surprise when the dead in question was a man Jessica slept with, he being part of a list of one night stands that Jessica has engaged in. Now under suspicion and a terrible drinking problem gnawing at her, Jessica will have to prove to her superiors and to her skeptical partner that she’s not the one behind the murders and Mills is one of the few people standing behind her. This is a story about a woman trying to find the perpetrator of these horrible crimes, before she herself might end as one of them.

Ray, an ex-con and widower, is planning a coin heist with two accomplices to help him to buy his own bakery. However, he doesn’t expect his son Timmy, who was living with Ray’s sister, to show up at the house right in the middle of planning. Timmy is ignored and Ray and his buddies pull off the heist. Timmy gets his father’s attention by stealing the coins and hiding them. To get them back, his father must take him to a number of different places and treat him like he enjoys his presence. They grow fond of each other but Timmy won’t stay with his dad unless he gives up the coins.

While 12-year-old Mark Evans is at his mother’s side as she’s dying of cancer at a hospital in Arizona, she makes him promise her that she won’t die. When she does die, Mark is consumed with grief, and is also guilt-ridden because he couldn’t keep his promise to her. Shortly after, Mark’s father Jack is assigned to take a two week business trip to Tokyo, Japan. Thinking that the blustery Maine environment will do Mark some good, Jack leaves Mark with Jack’s brother Wallace Evans in Maine while Jack is on his trip. Wallace and his wife Susan have a son Mark’s age named Henry and an 8-year-old daughter named Connie. Wallace and Susan’s 3-year-old son Richard died by drowning in the bathtub a few months ago. At first, Mark and Henry get along great, but Mark begins to notice that Henry’s ideas of fun differ significantly from his own. Henry threatens to topple Mark from a 15 meter high tree house, and Henry shows Mark his dummy, named “Mr. Highway”, which Henry drops from an overpass onto a highway, causing a 10-car pileup. Later, Henry uses his homemade crossbow to kill the neighbor’s dog. Henry also insinuates that Richard’s drowning was not an accident. But Henry’s perfect son facade is so convincing that no one believes Mark. Everyone is convinced that Mark is just acting out the trauma of his mother’s death. Mark knows that Henry drowned Richard in a fit of jealousy because it seemed to Henry that Susan and Wallace were giving Richard the most attention. Also, Mark believes that his mother has been reincarnated in Susan, and he makes the mistake of telling Henry about it. Fueled by more jealousy than ever before, Henry’s reign of terror escalates, and he hints to Mark that he plans to kill Connie for the same reason why he killed Richard. But even after Connie survives a suspicious ice skating accident, Mark’s fears are still dismissed. And then Susan discovers Henry’s secret playhouse, and she finds the rubber duckie that was missing from Richard’s bath on the day of the drowning. Now that Susan knows the truth, will she save her nephew or her own son?
