Biography: Janet Wright was born in 1945 in Scotland and grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. She was raised in a family of theater actors. Janet Wright was married to Brian Richmond and had a son with him named Jacob Richmond who is a playwright. In 29 December 1991, her 44-year-old sister Susan and her parents died in a house fire. In January of 2004, her 23-year old daughter, Rachel, was shot and killed while she was trying to break up street fight in Vancouver where a man was being kicked by gang members. Even though it was almost impossible for Janet to go on, four months later she was preparing to return to Saskatchewan to shoot season two of "Corner Gas". hide |
