show all Paul Pape is President and CEO of Red Wall Productions, a company he began a few years ago. The company first set up shop after having optioned the rights to a single book, Larry Pointer's "In Search of Butch Cassidy". The company still owns the rights to that book as well as the film rights to three other books: Jon Chandler's "The Spanish Peaks" (winner of the Western Writers of America Best First Novel Award), "Song of Sorrow" by Patrick Mendoza and "Murder at the Brown Palace" by Denver Post columnist Dick Krek. With two fully realized scripts (written by Paul) and six other projects in various stages of development, Red Wall is actively pursuing American history and/or family entertainment themes as their stories of choice. Along with his partner, producer Lincoln Lageson, the two have joined forces and committed themselves to developing exciting films that the whole family can enjoy. Together, they have compiled a strong slate of projects that has begun drawing serious interest.
A thirty-year veteran of the entertainment business, Paul began his career as an actor in New York. As a member of the successful repertory company, the Collonades Theater Lab, he served his apprenticeship alongside future notables Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman, Jeff Goldblum, Michael O'Keefe and Peter Scolari. After going Off-Broadway to appear in "The Cherry Orchard" with Kim Hunter, Paul got his break when he was cast to co-star opposite John Travolta in "Saturday Night Fever". In the early 1980s, Paul began doing voice-over work, a field that would bring him considerable success. With over 3000 voice-over credits to-date, Paul's voice has been heard in almost every media imaginable; commercials, narrations, promos, television series, feature films, mini-series, movies of the week, video games and theme park attractions. He returns to on-camera work now and then, as he did in 2002, appearing on "Resurrection Blvd.", the highly acclaimed series for Showtime. More recently, he appeared opposite Tom Berenger in "The Detective", a soon to be released mini-series from Hallmark. In addition, he showed up briefly in "Liberty Street", also from Hallmark. He can be seen co-starring in the short film "Three Rounds", which was a recent submission to the Sundance Film Festival and an accepted entry into the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival. In the past year, he has also co-starred in "The Stranger", an entry for the 168 Film Festival and a film that Red Wall Productions co-produced. For the most part, Paul has been turning his focus more and more to Red Wall's efforts, as it continues to grow and expand.
A life long fan of the literature, films and history of the American West, Paul has traveled extensively throughout the region. An avid photographer and author for the last 20 years, he has chronicled these travels in depth. During this time he has also served as a staff writer and photographer for Trail Dust Magazine and his images and articles have appeared on book covers and in publications nationwide, including American Cowboy.
Paul is married to two-time Emmy Winning Sound Editor Suzanne Angel-Pape. They are raising a daughter, Isabella, and make their home in Los Angeles.
