Near the turn of the twentieth century, young Harry Vardon becomes a champion golfer but learns that his amazing skill is no match for the class boundaries that exclude him from “gentlemanly” English society. A dozen years later, a young American, Francis Ouimet, fights against the same prejudice, as well as his own father’s disdain, for a chance to participate in the U.S. Open against his idol — Harry Vardon. The struggles of both men for acceptance provides the background for an amazing contest of skills.

It is the 24th century, and a collective of part humanoid, part machine beings face the Federation in what would be the biggest battle of all time. This collective, called the Borg, lose, and desperately attempt to go back in time to April 4th, 2063, to stop Earth’s First Contact with an alien species (the Vulcans, to be precise). Captain Picard, and the crew of the Enterprise-E (NCC 1701-E) go back in time to make sure that Zefram Cochrane makes his warp flight. The Enterprise runs into unexpected trouble, however, when they start to assimilate the Enterprise.

Ted Cogan is a U.S. soldier fighting in Iraq when he is injured in an explosion during an attack that left an innocent Iraqi family dead, and him comatose with a head wound. Upon awakening, Ted returns to his home in Chicago and after he has encounters of increasingly frightening visions of dead people, including a burned victim, Ted begins to realize that his injury has unlocked some gift of clairvoyance which he is targeted by ghosts seeking his help. As Ted tries to unlock the mystery of one, his worried and skeptic wife Molly, and teenage son Max, hinder his quest for the truth in the matter, which may lay closer than Ted thinks.
