West of Brooklyn takes us on a heartfelt and often humorous journey from Brooklyn, New York to Hollywood, California. “Sebi” (Ronnie Marmo) is a young Italian American man, a simple street kid and a secret beat poet, who after the death of his mother (Liz Torres) escapes Brooklyn to join his crew of friends who recently relocated to L.A. These colorful characters from New York are truly fish out of water in L.A. and Sebi longs to find a place he can feel at home. Sebi’s friends, a beautiful rich girl from Beverly Hills named “Matty” (Natalia Livingston), and his idol, a famous Bronx poet named “Gaetano D’Amico” (Joe Mantegna) bring Sebi face to face with his identity and help him find the courage to be exactly who he was all along.

A genetically mutated dog is accidentally released from the lab of Dr. Jarret and ends up at the home of news reporter/animal rights advocate Lori Tanner. The dog, Max, endowed with intelligence and other special abilities, is at first lovable, but also proves to be a ferocious, unstoppable killer.

Tony is an uneducated Brooklyn teenager. The highlight of his week is going to the local disco, where he is the king of the dancefloor. Tony meets Stephanie at the disco and they agree to dance together in a competition. Stephanie resists Tony’s attempts to romance her, as she aspires to greater things; she is moving across the river to Manhattan. Gradually, Tony also becomes disillusioned with the life he is leading and he and Stephanie decide to help one another to start afresh.
