That adorable little imp Fievel Mousekewitz is back (An American Tail, An American Tail: Fievel Goes West). Plucky and determined, Fievel sets out on a quest for buried treasure, located under old New York City, where he and his family happily reside (although his sometimes-cranky father is a workaholic). Underground, Fievel meets a clandestine civilization of Native American mice, with a sweet little gal reminiscent of Pocahontas to provide a little romance to boot. This may be a direct-to-video offering, but the quality is topnotch—animation is rich and lush, and the original tunes are fun and catchy. Moreover, the movie stresses such welcome notions as loyalty, family, affection, friendship, honesty, and honor. There’s even a modest but effectively put message about who really belongs in America. Dom DeLuise, Party of Five’s Lacey Chabert, and David Carradine lend their voices to the production.

Joe, the saxophone player, is Josephine in the all girls band that he joined with Jerry, the bass violin player, to be one step ahead of the mob after witnessing the 1929 St. Valentine’s Day Massacre in Chicago. After a train ride that sets a record for number of people in an upper berth, they are In Miami. Joe decides to be the man of Sugar Kane’s dreams and invites her out to a yacht he doesn’t have. But he can use Osgood Fielding’s yacht if Jerry — as Daphne — will keep Osgood dancing. The pace gets even giddier when the Chicago mob arrives in Miami for a convention.

Cowboys and ranchers have to put their differences aside when a gang of outlaws, led by army captain Jack Bruhn, decide to spend the night in a little Western town.

Some time after the Mousekewitz’s have settled in America, they find that they are still having problems with the threat of cats. That makes them eager to try another home out in the west, where they are promised that mice and cats live in peace. Unfortunately, the one making this claim is an oily con artist named Cat R. Waul who is intent on his own sinister plan. Unaware of this, the Mousekewitz’s begin their journey west, while their true cat friend, Tiger, follows intent on following his girlfriend gone in the same direction.

Many years ago an experiment was conducted to produce a perfect human being. Unfortunately there was a problem. The zygote split unevenly leaving two children - one with strength, brains, personality and love and the other one with what else was left! Both children were raised seperately at different locations until one day the two unite and help one another find their long lost mother.
