Detective Walker is a deeply flawed hero fighting to redeem himself while solving, and simultaneously trying to prevent, a string of murders following a drug deal gone bad. Cut off by her wealthy father, a young woman talks her boyfriend into robbing a check cashing spot. Things don’t quite work out for the couple, however, who are now being pursued by the cops.

The drama revolves around Tristan Price (Jesse Metcalfe), a young guy who has it all: plenty of money, a loving family, a gorgeous girlfriend, a promising future —and complete boredom! Once at the cub, the thrill-seeking guy meets and forges an unlikely friendship with his former college mate Sebastian Cole (Corey Large), a charismatic but sleazy drug dealer who ensnares him into the sordid underworld of drugs, sex and murder. Tristan soon comes to realize that his newfound friend is really an insidious enemy who seeks to exploit his contacts with Tristan’s upper crust friends and family.

Long time inmate Twitch (Kurupt) gets himself transfered to a tougher prison than the re-opened Alcatraz. He claims it’s to be closer to his lady but his real motives are a bit more grandiose. There he crosses paths with Burke (Bill Goldberg) a bulky prisoner who can take care of himself. Twitch, despite being less muscular, is just as mouthy and is pretty much the same. But there is a gang war brewing between the black and hispanic inmates…

Set in the Los Angeles Police Department in April 1992, Dark Blue is a dramatic thriller that takes place just days before the acquittal of four white officers in the beating of black motorist Rodney King and the subsequent L.A. riots. In this racially-charged climate,the LAPD’s elite Special Investigations Squad (SIS) is assigned a high-profile quadruple homicide. As they work the case, veteran detective Eldon Perry, known for his tough street tactics and fiery temper, tutors SIS rookie Bobby Keough in the grim realities of police intimidation and corruption. Meanwhile, Assistant Chief Holland, the only man in the department willing to stand up to the SIS, threatens to end Perry’s brand of singlehanded “justice” on the Los Angeles streets. While navigating through the tumultuous neighborhoods of South Central L.A., Perry and Keough must track down cold-blooded killers and face their own demons, which prove to be more ruthless than the criminals they pursue.

When not solving murders in Tinseltown, Detective Joe Gavilan and his rookie partner Kasey Calden both moonlight in other fields: Gavilan sells real estate (poorly), and Calden aspires to become an actor (Brando, namely). Assigned to the vicious in-club slaying of a promising young rap act, the two detective delve into the recording industry where they hope to find answers - ideally ones that also come with property buyers or auditions.
