In this modern retelling of a classic urban legend, a mother finds herself at odds with a unremitting flight crew and her own sanity when her daughter vanishes in the middle of a flight, with only a few clues left behind. The Majestic Hotel is a 5 star luxurious establishment, and Manager Robert Grant is devoted to keeping his guests happy. However his sons, Brian and Kyle are quite the opposite, troublesome and mischievous. Robert discovers for the chairman of the hotel that a Sixth star could be rewarded to the Majectic Hotel, if a representative is impressed, and this representative is an undercover guest of the Majestic Hotel. But then Lord Rutlidge and his well-trained Monkey, Dunston, check into the hotel. Dunston is trained as a jewel thief by his violent owner, Rutlidge, and Dunston attempts to escape a life of crime and with the help of Kyle and Brian, might just destroy the chances of the hotel becoming a 6-star.

Wealthy, brilliant, and meticulous Ted Crawford, a structural engineer in Los Angeles, shoots his wife and entraps her lover. He signs a confession; at the arraignment, he asserts his rights to represent himself and asks the court to move immediately to trial. The prosecutor is Willy Beachum, a hotshot who’s soon to join a fancy civil-law firm, told by everyone it’s an open and shut case. Crawford sees Beachum’s weakness, the hairline fracture of his character: Willy’s a winner. The engineer sets in motion a clockwork crime with all the objects moving in predictable ways.
