When Mark’s brother, landlord and dog are killed in a series of freak accidents, he calls on friend and neighbour Pierce for help. As the series of deaths would appear suspicious, aspiring writer Pierce advises Mark not to call the police, and instead the two try to re-work the days events as if they were a film script.

Karl Hutton (Kiefer Sutherland) is a US soldier stationed in London during World War II, who soon falls for the charms of Betty Jones (Emily Lloyd) - a London showgirl with a dangerous mind. Seduced by her romanticised vision of gangster life, Karl soon finds himself taken by Betty on a wild ride of petty crimes and good times. But this is anything but innocent fun, and as the crime spree escalates in its scale he soon finds himself facing up to the consequences of the most serious crime of all - murder.

A bawdy, ultimately moral tale of hedonism’s complications, Is Harry on the Boat? is probably the most memorable film to come out of the culture of young singles’ holidays on Ibiza. Tour rep Brad (Danny Dyer) is determined to win the informal competition among the male reps to sleep with as many female clients as possible, while his friend Mikey (Des Coleman) is looking for true love. Brad gradually learns responsibility and human concern from the awful examples set by corrupt manageress Alison and self-serving treacherous super-stud Mario. Along the way we get some memorably gross-jokes and one or two moments of rather touching tenderness, as well as a convincing portrait of what people go to Ibiza for—loud, large times of music and drunken excess. Dyer is convincing as a young man who learns better from experience and Des Coleman makes Mikey a three-dimensional, soulful romantic with a wicked sense of humour rather than merely Good personified.

Gary Shaller is at a crossroads in his life: his job is going nowhere, his wife, Dora, drives him crazy, and he passed his thirtieth birthday four years ago. A woman named Grace (Kidman) is living with her two children Anne and Nicholas (Mann and Bentley) on an almost empty island in their huge mansion. Grace’s husband is a soldier in WWII and Grace has given her husband up for dead. Everything seems peaceful for her, but when three mysterious servants are given jobs at the house, terrifying secrets are unlocked that even Grace cannot handle.

To avoid spoiling the movie this plot summary is very brief. It starts when three people living together in a four bedroom flat are looking for a house mate. The interviews they conduct are very unorthodox and very funny. Eventually the three agree on one prospective tenant. He moves in, locks his door, and is not seen again. After a couple of days the three become curious and break in to his room. What follows is an amazing piece of cinema and to say more would ruin it.
