Manny is the “boss” of the convicts in an Alaskan high security prison. Renken, the heartless prison’s administrator wants to kill him, so Manny escapes with the help of another young prisoner, Buck, who follows him. The two fugitives manage to get to a rail depot and get onboard a train. The problem is, the engineer has died and the the train is totally out of control, and nothing can stop it. So, leaving the prison, Manny and Buck find themselves aboard something that is both their freedom and their death…

A number of fighters are invited to DOA, an invitational martial arts contest. They travel to the tournament island by plane, until they have to jump out mid-flight with parachutes, and then have until sundown to reach the main island to be entered into the tournament. Fighters are then pooled against one another in a knock-out style tournament, with the loser of a battle sent home, and the winner progressing to the subsequent round. The plot revolves around four female fighters who begin as rivals, but subsequently find themselves teaming up against another force.

Ex-detective Dave Robicheaux has made a new life for himself and his wife Annie running a bait shop in the outskirts of New Orleans. When they save a little girl, the sole survivor of a plane crash, their lives become forever changed. They take the orphan child into their home and prepare to raise her. However, a visit from DEA agent Dautrieve brings out the detective instincts in Robicheaux and he begins to ask about the rest of the passengers. This brings trouble to Robicheaux and he turns to drug lord Bubba Rocque, a childhood friend. But the friendship becomes estranged when an assault on the Robicheaux home leaves one victim…Annie.

While Dorian’s life and career take a nosedive, Shanley numbs the pain of losing his father, William Shanley (John Savage), to a form of alzhiemer’s common in prizefighters. To further complicate circumstances, Dorian falls in love with his girlfriend’s best friend from college, Anna (Camila Overbye Roos). The film follows Shanley through a maze of pharmacies, clubs and binges and surgeries, into the heart of drug abuse.

What these two unlikely partners do to law enforcement is a crime, but they just might save the day. That is, if they don’t kill each other first.
