He graduated from The Academy for the Performing Arts (Chicago's High School for the Arts) and received his B.F.A. from The Theatre School at DePaul University, along-side fellow classmate Gillian Anderson of "The "X Files, The" (1993)". Jamie is best known for his role as Scott, the nervous water board clerk, opposite Julia Roberts, in the critically acclaimed film" Erin Brockovich (2000)" (nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Picture) and as Steven, the hyper computer hacker in "Score (2001)" opposite 'Robert DeNiro'(qv), Marlon Brando, and Edward Norton . He has co-starred in three television movies; "The Glimpse of Hell, A (2001) (TV)" opposite Robert Sean Leanard, "Family Pictures (1993) (TV)" opposite Anjelica Huston, and "Darrow (1991) (TV)" opposite Kevin Spacey. He has guest appeared on the TV series "Wonderland (2000)", "Trinity (1998)", and "Cracker (1997)". He has co-starred in independent films including "I Think I Do (1997)", "I Shot Andy Warhol (1996)" and "Chain of Desire (1992)". His other movies include hits like "Natural Born Killers (1994)", "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar (1995)", and "Bed of Roses (1996)". He will next appear opposite Ben Affleck in "Sum of All Fears (2002)" based on the Tom Clancey best seller. Jamie lives in New York City with his cat 'Lunch'.
