San Diego police detective Mike Dooley has retired from the force, but on the way home from his retirement party, he and his police dog, Jerry Lee, come across a robbery at an electronics lab, in which four valuable prototype computer chips are stolen. When Dooley and Jerry Lee try to stop the robbery, they are slowed down by the FBI, who draw their guns on Dooley. In chasing the thieves, Jerry Lee has swallowed one of the chips, and the other three won’t work without it. In the eyes of the FBI, Dooley becomes a suspect just because he was on the scene at the time of the heist, and his pension is frozen until the case is solved. Since Dooley’s pension is frozen, he decides to breed Jerry Lee for some quick cash to start a private investigation business. Unfortunately, Jerry Lee’s a big slob who farts a lot, and so he has trouble with the higher-brow dog fanciers. But after a successful night of breeding, Dooley gets paid, and winds up with a crush on Catherine Coleman, the female dog’s owner. Jerry Lee gets “morning after” regrets. After a trip to the vet, Jerry Lee passes the computer chip. Dooley cleans the chip and stuffs the chip into the locket on Jerry Lee’s dog collar. Dooley gets his P.I. license and advertises his services in the paper. The first person to call him is Laura Fields, who wants Dooley to help her find her lost fiancé. Little do Dooley and Jerry Lee know that all roads in this investigation will lead back to the heist. Dooley has to deal with the FBI, which is tailing him to see how he was involved with the theft in the first place. He also has to deal with his ex-captain and his former colleagues, who all seem to think he’s crazy. As it turns out, Laura is the mastermind behind the theft, and she hired Dooley so she can get her hands on the chip that Jerry Lee has. Can Dooley and Jerry Lee stop Laura before she can get her hands on the chip?

A couple (King and Chen) returns to North America for a family funeral, having lived in Shanghai, China for the previous six years. Soon after they arrive, their son Jamie (Oey) begins to see ghosts and suffer possession by one of the living dead, and it all ties in with the Chinese festival of Ghost Month, when the doors of hell supposedly open and angry spirits are given the chance to terrorize the living.

When Sean Jones witnesses a murder, he is asked to fly from Hawaii to Los Angeles to testify against the notorious gangster Eddie Kim. However, Kim has paid an assassin to release a crate-full of deadly snakes loose when the plane is 30,000 feet in the air. Only FBI agent Neville Flynn can protect Sean and rally the passengers together in hope of landing in L.A. alive.

Set in a future Earth (2035 A.D.) where robots are common assistants and workers for their human owners, this is the story of “robotophobic” Chicago Police Detective Del Spooner’s (Smith) investigation into the murder of Dr. Alfred Lanning (James Cromwell), who works at U.S. Robotics, in which a robot, Sonny (Tudyk), appears to be implicated, even though that would mean the robot had violated the Three Laws of Robotics, which is apparently impossible. It seems impossible because.. if robots can break those laws, there’s nothing to stop them from taking over the world, as humans have grown to become completely dependent upon their robots. Or maybe… they already have? Aiding Spooner in his investigation is a psychologist, Dr. Susan Calvin (Moynahan), who specializes in the psyches of robots.

Jonathan Ecks (Antonio Banderas), an FBI agent, realizes that he must join with his lifelong enemy, Agent Sever (Lucy Liu), a rogue DIA agent with whom he is in mortal combat, in order to defeat a common enemy. That enemy has developed a “micro-device” that can be injected into victims in order to kill them at will.

Ben (Seann William Scott) has some major debts and intends to rob a bank, under cover of the big rave party he is going to host. The whole point is that the club is located next to the bank where the valuable statue adorns the hall. The rave show will last for seven hours, it should be enough to disguise all attempts break the wall, penetrate into the bank and to still the statue. But there are more obstacles on their way then a simple wall: they should struggle with a cranky club owner, Chinese mafia, Irish thugs, crazed transvestites and a horny teen girl.

Riddick, now a hunted man, finds himself in the middle of two opposing forces in a major crusade. ‘Colm Feore’ (qv) plays Lord Marshal, a warrior priest who is the leader of a sect that is waging the tenth and perhaps final crusade 500 years in the future. ‘Judi Dench’ (qv) is Aereon, an ambassador from the Elemental race. She is an ethereal being who helps Riddick unearth his origins.

In this modern day Romeo and Juliet, kung fu action star Jet Li plays Romeo to hip-hop singer, Aaliyah Haughton’s Juliet. Li is an ex-cop investigating the murder of his brother, who had ties with the Chinese mafia in America. Aaliyah plays the daughter of the American mob boss. Neither side approves of their romance, so, obviously, kung fu action ensues, with a soundtrack by Aaliyah.
