show all Nick Ferrin was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin. His parents were divorced at age 10 and he was raised from that point by his mother, sister, and eventually his step-dad. Although his poor family relationships (he has had little contact with them for years) makes life painful at times, he commits himself to his work and passion. He had the privilege to be directed in the role of 'Master Harold' by Tony-nominated K. Todd Freeman for the Steppenwolf Theater's production of "Master Harold...and the Boys" in 2005. He has worked on several major productions in Chicago including, "Fred Claus," "Eden Court," "The Break Up," "The Lake House," "Let's Go To Prison," the highly controversial "Death of a President," "Quebec," "The Strip," "Butterfly on a Wheel," "Stranger Than Fiction," as well as "E.R.," "Prison Break," and more. He is currently selective about his acting work (too selective, according to some) and ambitiously plans to produce and direct a stage play he is adapting for the screen, originally written by Tony Fiorentino, called "Lease on Love." It is a romantic comedy he plans to act in as well. However, he tries not to turn down a good thing when it comes his way, and is accepting reasonable offers. He works as a dog-walker and also at a deli/pizza place to make ends meet until he can do so acting and producing. He is currently single with two cats and resides in Chicago, Illinois.
