show all BJ Lange always knew his role in life: to make people happy and to help people. His love for acting only makes life easier. As one of a handful of white students in a predominately black north St. Louis school, BJ often cast himself as the goofball. He used his high school years to take on a more serious approach to acting. Striving to be the center of attention, BJ became highly active in the drama departments of his middle school and high school. His first stage experience was when his middle school drama teacher cast him in How to Eat Like a Child. Contrary to expectations of him, BJ danced and sang in musicals and concentrated on studying theatre. In high school he was the lead in "Little Shop of Horrors" as Seymour Krelborn, and Sir Edward Ramsey in The King and I. Often still the goofball, BJ has kept audiences entertained across the country whether joking around on tour while hosting MTV-related events, his appearance on Dr. Phil, or his stuntboy antics on the nationally syndicated Steve & DC Radio Network. The street stunts he produced for the radio show received critical acclaim. After spending a few years in theatre and radio, BJ crossed into mainstream film and television with an emphasis on live performance and hosting. His diverse experiences include working with major corporations like McDonald's and the US Army for whom he performed at international conventions. BJ has emceed hundreds of events and national tours. BJ believes in the power of acting, and often instructs youth improv and drama workshops. He has trained over 500 performers worldwide in multiple languages! Additionally, has worked with renowned performers, acting coaches, and industry experts. He continues to seek opportunities to study with some of the best in the industry.
