Mitchell Gant, once one of America’s finest fighter pilots, is recruited by NATO, despite continuing bouts with battle shock (incurred in a harrowing mission in which he was captured by the Vietcong but rescued by US Air Force choppers), for a suicide mission - Soviet Russia has developed the ultimate fighter-bomber, the Firefox. NATO contacts among Soviet dissidents smuggle Gant through Russia to the Red Air Force’s testing facility in southern Ukraine, where he must steal the Firefox - and escape the wrath of the world’s most powerful air-defense grid, and of a second Firefox prototype.

Potters Bluff, Rhode Island. may seem to be a sleepy little town. At least for the casual visitor and the local sheriff, Daniel Gillis. However, all of a sudden, there are a lot of strange murders where strangers or people passing through are killed by mobs of townspeople. Only Sheriff Gillis has no clue to what’s going on. Fortunately, the town has an excellent undertaker, William G. Dobbs, who is happy to take care of this sudden death-wave which is good for his business. Gillis soon discovers clues that lead to many of the local inhabitants involved in the killings, including his own wife Janet.

After destroying a case involving a crime lord, Harry Callahan is sent down to San Paulo to investigate the killing of a man found dead in a car. Jennifer (the killer of the man in the car) is murdering all the rapists who brutally raped both her and her sister 10 years ago, and she has returned to San Paulo to exact her revenge. Harry becomes inadvertently involved in Jennifer’s own troubles during his investigations, all the while not suspecting she is the killer.

After Harry’s arrest of a gambling kingpin results in a conviction for murder, a group of thugs shoot up Harry’s car and try to kill him. Harry overpowers them and is paired with a new partner, Insp. Al Quan (Evan Kim). Within days of this assignment Harry and Al find themselves working on a mysterious death of a rock star, who was on location filming a movie directed by Peter Swan (Liam Neeson). After one of Swan’s crew is killed in a Chinatown robbery that is foiled by Al & Harry, Al discovers a list of celebrities on the dead man that includes the dead rock star and one Inspector Harry Callahan. They soon discover that this is part of a strange game called the Dead Pool, and it isn’t long before other people on the list turn up dead…and someone starts making attempts on Harry’s life…
