show all Dakota Goyo was born on August 22, 1999, in Toronto, Canada. His natural ability to memorize scripts landed him roles in numerous television commercials at a very young age. Dakota has since achieved principal and leading roles in both film and television, and is looking forward to gaining new experiences in the industry in order to craft his natural abilities. Happiest when he is performing, Dakota displays a confidence that is beyond his age. He is always ready to take on new challenges, such as voice/characterization training, working with animals and performing his own stunts. Dakota is eager to learn new things; his personable nature and entertaining personality make him a pleasure to work with, both on and off the set. His featured television work includes: Disney's JoJo's Circus (2003), Ultra (2006). Most recently Dakota has completed leading roles in the feature films Resurrecting the Champ (2007) and Emotional Arithmetic (2007). At his young age, Dakota has already had the privilege of working with such wonderful actors as Christopher Plummer, Susan Sarandon, Samuel L. Jackson, Alan Alda, Gabrielle Byrne, Josh Hartnett, Max Von Sydow, Teri Hatcher, Kathryn Morris, Helen Shaver, Lena Headey and Roy Dupuis. Dakota is an active and agile 8 year old who enjoys outdoor sports such as bike-riding, soccer, skateboarding, golfing and horseback riding. He has two brothers, Dallas 13 and Devon 11, also actors. When he's not working or at school, Dakota can be found swimming in his backyard with his two dogs, Chloe and Abby, riding his horse Tess, listening to music, or doing cartwheels all over the house. This year Dakota looks forward to beginning grade 3, traveling to new set locations, and working on many more fun and interesting projects.
