Biography: The name, Nexxis means "fantasy made into reality" and that is exactly what is happening with the hip hop, acting, and entertainment sensation that is, Tank Jones. Tank, erupted onto the music scene with the hip hop duo, TWENTY-TWO. After having some regional success, Tank decided to branch out and record a solo project called The Connecting Link in late 2003. After turning solo, Tank Jones enlisted the help of mentor, Curtis Rosemond. Mr. Rosemond was very influential in helping Tank (Nexxis) receive multiple endorsements from Pepsi, Budweiser, and Wal-Mart. In addition to those feats, Curtis booked Tank as a performer for the Miss USA Pageant in San Antonio. Tank also co-hosted the show with then Miss USA, Shauntey Hinton. As an actor, Tank Jones has appeared in numerous commercials, made-for-television movies, and has appeared on national television programs such as Regis and Kathy Lee and Access Hollywood. As a film actor, Tank has had roles in two Warner Bros. pictures, Three Kings and Any Given Sunday (unaccredited). Tank was cast as a lead or supporting actor in several independent features as well, including: Hoop Soldiers, The Salena Incident, Two, Diablita, The Controller and Wild Seven. All of these projects are due to be released between the end of 2005-2007. Inspired by an event that took place at Momence High School, a conversation with a friend, the mentorship of Curtis Rosemond and the support of family, friends and colleagues, the Choices Education Empowerment Program was created in the spring of 2003. The Choices program promotes diversity, and Tank Jones speaks to elementary, middle school, and high school students about having a positive outlook on themselves and their ability to be successful in life. Choices also speaks to the youth on the importance of a good education to their future. Through the program, academic scholarships are offered as well as apprenticeships on feature films and commercials. (see www.whatischoices.com). Currently, Tank is ready to unleash his new music project, ANTITHESIS. "Antithesis is a project that I've spent several months on, trying to make sure the album is everything a sophomore album should be." says Tank.
